Acute Care Common Stem Training
ACCS is a 2 year training course that normally follows Foundation Year and involves training in General (Internal) Medicine (Acute), Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine and ICM. This is followed by further training in Emergency Medicine, Anaesthesia or Medical specialties with an emphasis on acute management.

College Of Emergency Medicine

The Intensive Care Society [ICS] is the representative body in the UK for intensive care professionals and patients. The Society represents Intensive Care in a wide range of organisations from the Royal Colleges and IBTICM to the Department of Health, and produces the Journal of Intensive Care Medicine.

Intercollegiate Committee for Training in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine [ICTPICM]
ICTPICM is composed of representatives of the Royal Colleges of Anaesthetists, Paediatrics & Child Health and the Senate of Surgery. For doctors intending a sessional or full time commitment to PICM in recognised paediatric intensive care units to receive recognised training in the subject.
