ICM Examinations
Following the introduction of the standalone CCT in Intensive Care Medicine, the FICM is undertaking the establishment of a new examination process. Please click the relevant link below for information on the current UK Diploma in ICM examination and for information on the new FICM Fellowship exam.
- Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine [DICM]
The current UK Diploma in Intensive Care [DICM] examination, which is an optional exam, will be phased out during 2012. Please click the link above for more detailed DICM information and application materials. Joint CCT trainees who miss the final sitting of the DICM but wish to undertake an examination in ICM will have the option to sit the FFICM exam if they wish.
- Fellowship of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine [FFICM]
A new examination being introduced in early 2013, the FFICM will be a mandatory part of the assessment process for all trainees appointed to the standalone CCT in ICM (or dual CCTs therewith).
