Bookings are now being accepted for the Health Protection Agency Intensivists Course: Responding to an infectious disease pandemic. This course is being held on 26 October 2012 at The Churchill Room, Goodenough College, Mecklenburgh Square, London, WC1N 2AB
The programme can be downloaded here.
This one-day course has been co-designed with colleagues from the Health Protection Agency at Porton Down specifically for intensive care specialists who wish to develop expertise in managing localised outbreaks or epidemics involving emerging pathogens, whether from natural evolution of known microorganisms or from bioterrorism. The aim of the course is to provide a grounding in disease control, patient care, staff protection, laboratory data interpretation and environmental and public health issues. It is anticipated that those taking the course will assume local leadership roles, and will develop the capacity for international advice and support.
There is no registration fee for this course and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
If you would like to register for this course, please request a registration form from nadp.training@hpa.org.uk. The deadline for registration is Friday 21st September.
