ICM CCT Trainees
This category of membership is open to trainees on an ICM CCT programme. If you are a trainee undertaking blocks of ICM outside the ICM CCT programme, you should apply for Affiliate Trainee status.
Please note that even if you have previously registered with the Faculty as an Affiliate Trainee (or in the past via 'General Registration'), if you are subsequently appointed to an ICM CCT programme then you must complete and submit a further ICM CCT Trainee form.
CCT Trainee registration is open to trainees appointed, via competitive interview, to a programme of training leading to a CCT in Intensive Care Medicine. All trainees appointed to an ICM CCT programme must now register as Faculty trainees. Trainees must hold a valid National Training Number.
Rights and privileges of ICM CCT Trainees
Trainee membership confers the following rights and privileges:
- to be nominated for election to be the Trainee Representative of the Faculty
- to vote in Faculty elections for the Trainee Representative of the Faculty
- to receive copies of the Faculty newsletter
- to attend available Faculty events
- to benefit from the arrangements organised by the Faculty for participating in training and assessment
- receiving the TOTUM PRO card
Please note that there are no post nominals associated with trainee membership of the Faculty.
Trainee Registration Fees
The subscription rate for trainee membership can be found HERE. Trainee anaesthetists paying an annual training fee to the Royal College of Anaesthetists will have their subscription date (either April or October) alternated with their College payment. All other applicants will have a subscription date dependent on when their application form is received.
Subscriptions last from the billing dates of April to April and October to October and are not time limited depending on the financial year.
If you have any problems or queries regarding your application please contact the Faculty.
Please click the links below for the CCT Trainee registration form and accompanying Direct Debit instructions.
Please Note: Whilst the FICM will accept electronic submissions for the CCT Trainee registration form, the accompanying Direct Debit form must be submitted in hard copy, as banks will only accept original forms.
Previous ICM CCT registrants
Trainees who have previously registered for ICM CCT training with the Faculty (or the IBTICM) by submitting an old style registration form before August 2011 will need to re-register as the prior IBTICM system does not automatically convey trainee membership of the Faculty or confer the rights and privileges detailed above. Please supply a detailed breakdown of training dates required on the application form. The application form will need to be counter-signed by the ICM Regional Advisor and ICM Training Programme Director.
If you are not sure if you previously registered for ICM CCT training, please contact the Faculty
