Exploring the quality of care received by young people on long-term ventiliation

19 February 2019

The National Confidential Enquiry into Patient Outcome and Death (NCEPOD) is conducting a survey on the quality of care provided for young people on long-term ventilation (LTV) aged between 0-24. NCEPOD will then produce a report for clinicians and other professionals about how to improve their care and will also produce guidance for patients and families. They want to hear from patients, parents and carers to best understand how LTV services can be improved.

If you are a patient on LTV or the parent or carer of a patient on LTV aged between 0-24 then NCEPOD need to hear from you! You can help in two ways:

  • There will be several focus groups organised across the UK to gather a full picture of what LTV services are like in the UK; what works and what doesn't. For more information on these groups please see here.

  • If you're unable to attend any of the focus groups, please go to: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/NCEPOD_LTV_Survey to complete a short, anonymous survey.

For more information on the survey and for any questions please contact Dr Marisa Mason: mmason@ncepod.org.uk
