FICM Clinical Excellence Awards Survey

10 September 2018

The Faculty is pleased to report that it has been accepted as a ranking and nominating body for the Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards (ACCEA) process, which we understand will continue into 2019. This means that ICM now has both the Faculty and the Society as recognised bodies (in the same way that both AAGBI and RCoA are both able to nominate and rank for anaesthetics). The Faculty, through the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (AoMRC) collective process, can now also nominate for platinum awards.

The process by which the ACCEA allows awards has changed and this is calculated from overall percentages of awards held by the membership. We therefore need you to complete the very short questionnaire (see link below) that asks for your name, your GMC number (as a unique identifier) and whether you currently hold a national award. It should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. You do not need to fill in the survey if you do not have an award

If you could please respond by Monday 1 October, it would be greatly appreciated.

We cannot emphasise enough the importance of you completing this survey – the more national awards declared, the greater the % of awards we will be able to nominate for members for 2019.  Naturally, all data is collected and held within data privacy regulations.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Faculty at
