Tackling the effects of fatigue on the NHS workforce
The Faculty is pleased to be part of the Fight Fatigue project developed by the Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland and supported also by the Royal College of Anaesthetists. As a fully 24/7 specialty, Intensive Care Medicine is a high-pressure working environment, with long working hours often including long shifts and nights. There needs to be a public discussion about the lack of appropriate rest facilities across our hospitals.
Join us today, on World Sleep Day, with the other supporters of this important campaign, including the National Association of ACCPs and the Joint FICM of Ireland, to #FightFatigue.
