e-Portfolio

Please see below to access the Intensive Care Medicine ePortfolio system and for guidance on its use.

Please note that the ePortfolio is for trainees on the ICM CCT (either single or dual programmes). It is not suitable for trainees on the outgoing Joint CCT in ICM.

If you already have a NES ePortfolio login and username (for example as a Foundation trainee or trainer) then please contact the Faculty so that your ICM role can be added to your pre-existing account.  This will mean that you do not need to log in and out of the NES system in order to access your different roles within it.

If you have queries or problems with using the ePortfolio, please consult the guidance manual first. If that does not solve your issue then please do not hesitate to contact us

Authorised personnel include only those registered ‘Users’ from the FICM membership and partner organisations who hold a valid username and password. It is an offence to make use of this platform other than for the purpose for which it was created.

1. Acceptance of Terms

The Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine ("FICM") provides access to https://www.nhseportfolios.org/Anon/Login/Login.aspx (the "Site") subject to your acceptance of these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time without prior notice.

By accessing, browsing, entering data or otherwise accessing the Site, you become a User and assert that you have read and understand and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you have any questions about this agreement, please contact us via contact@ficm.ac.uk.

2. Your Obligations

Clinical and non-clinical staff entering data on the ICM ePortfolio are reminded of their legal and professional duty to keep patients’ personal information confidential. As advised in the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges’ Guidance, doctors should anonymise patient data as far as possible in their self-reflective logs. The platform is an educational and not a medical tool and therefore there is no reason to include patient Identifiable or personal data relating to a third party. Please also ensure that you comply with your organisation’s or trust's/board’s information governance policy throughout your use of the platform.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and your chosen password, and for all activities that occur under your username and password. Under no circumstances should users pass on their login details to others. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your username or password or any other breach of security.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all data you submit is correct and it must not include any data from any other organisation(s) other than those that the registered user has legitimate access to.

Users should only be able to see their own data or data for trainees that they have supervisory or assessment responsibility for. If a user detects what he or she believes is a breach of security or confidentiality then it is their responsibility not to disseminate the information obtained and to report the event immediately to contact@ficm.ac.uk.

Users will be logged out of the website after a period of inactivity. However, users should log off before leaving computers or mobile devices unattended.
