What are the features of established Refeeding syndrome?

  • Severely low serum electrolyte levels 2 

    • Phosphate <0.32mmol/L 
    • Potassium <2.5mmol/L 
    • Magnesium<0.5mmol/L 
  • Acute fluid overload or peripheral oedema 

  • Organ dysfunction such as cardiac failure, respiratory failure, pulmonary oedema, raised liver transaminases
