Case of the Month #50 Heatstroke

1. Classical heatstroke – the most likely diagnosis 

2. Sepsis – important to exclude given it is common and can co-exist 

3. Serotonin syndrome 

4. Neuroleptic malignant syndrome 

This patient could have any of the above diagnoses. The history provided indicates many risk factors for classical heatstroke.
