She requires transfer to ITU intubation and ventilation. What further investigations can be done to confirm a diagnosis of myasthenia gravis?

  • Electrophysiological studies – repetitive stimulation detects a decremental response
  • Specific antibodies – Anti-AChR-Ab, Anti-Musk-Ab
  • Imaging – CT or MRI to evaluate for thymus pathology, MR brain may be indicated in those with ocular myasthenia with negative serology and electrophysiology
