What are the causes of Polyuria in Intensive Care?

  •  Excessive fluid administration. 

  •  Diuretic drugs. 

  •  Primary polydipsia. 

  •  Osmotic diuresis: 

    • Mannitol. 
    • Hyperglycaemia. 
    • Post-obstructive diuresis. 
    • Recovery phase of acute kidney injury. 

  •  Diabetes insipidus: 

  •  Post-tumour resection in acromegalic patients.
