What are the clinical features of Mitral Stenosis?
- Dyspnoea due to pulmonary congestion caused by increased left atrial pressure
- Palpitations due to atrial fibrillation
- Systemic thromboembolism seen in about 10-20% patients
- Chest Pain due to Right Ventricular Hypertrophy (rather than coronary artery disease)
- ECG demonstrating atrial fibrillation and Left Atrial enlargement
- Chest X-Ray shows Left Atrial enlargement and pulmonary vascular congestion
