Have you transferred all your NES data?
Our deadline for transitioning to the new ICM Curriculum, ensuring you had downloaded all your data from the NES portfolio and uploaded evidence to your LLP account was 31 January 2021. If you have not done this by now, your upcoming ARCP is likely to be affected.
We need to be made aware of any doctors that have not yet accessed their old NES data (those OOP or on or just returning from any long-term leave) as we need to understand how many people are yet to do this as it will not be possible to access this data past 31 August 2022 when our contract with NES portfolios ceases.
Likewise, we also need to be made aware of anyone who was meant to CCT by 31 August 2022 but has had their training extended for any purposes. These doctors will not have had an LLP account created for them as it was assumed they would not need to transition to the new curriculum and LLP. If any doctor is in Stage 3 in the NES portfolio has had their CCT extended for any reason past 31 August 2022, then please let us know so we can formulate a plan of action for these individuals.
We asked all doctors moving over to the new FICM LLP (i.e. all those in Stages 1 & 2 and any Stage 3 doctors that have specifically requested to be moved) to download their historical data from the NES platform by 31 January 2022. If you still haven't done so please contact us.
The first Intensive Care Medicine ePortfolio was developed with NHS Education for Scotland (NES). We moved our ICM Portfolio to the RCoA's Lifelong Learning Platform (LLP) in August 2021.
Please see below to access the NES ICM ePortfolio system and for guidance on its use.
Please note that the NES ePortfolio is for trainees on the 2010 standalone ICM CCT (either single or dual programmes). It is not suitable for trainees on the previous Joint CCT in ICM.
If you already have a NES ePortfolio login and username (for example as a Foundation trainee or trainer) then please contact the Faculty so that your ICM role can be added to your pre-existing account. This will mean that you do not need to log in and out of the NES system in order to access your different roles within it.
If you have queries or problems with using the ePortfolio, please consult the guidance manual first. If that does not solve your issue then please do not hesitate to contact us.

STANDARDISED TERMS OF AGREEMENT
It is an offence to view or enter data on the ICM ePortfolio if you are not authorised to do so. Authorised personnel include only those registered ‘Users’ from the FICM membership and partner organisations who hold a valid username and password. It is an offence to make use of this platform other than for the purpose for which it was created.
1. Acceptance of Terms
The Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine ("FICM") provides access to https://www.nhseportfolios.org/Anon/Login/Login.aspx (the "Site") subject to your acceptance of these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time without prior notice.
By accessing, browsing, entering data or otherwise accessing the Site, you become a User and assert that you have read and understand and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you have any questions about this agreement, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org.
2. Your Obligations
Clinical and non-clinical staff entering data on the ICM ePortfolio are reminded of their legal and professional duty to keep patients’ personal information confidential. As advised in the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges’ Guidance, doctors should anonymise patient data as far as possible in their self-reflective logs. The platform is an educational and not a medical tool and therefore there is no reason to include patient Identifiable or personal data relating to a third party. Please also ensure that you comply with your organisation’s or trust's/board’s information governance policy throughout your use of the platform.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and your chosen password, and for all activities that occur under your username and password. Under no circumstances should users pass on their login details to others. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your username or password or any other breach of security.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all data you submit is correct and it must not include any data from any other organisation(s) other than those that the registered user has legitimate access to.
Users should only be able to see their own data or data for trainees that they have supervisory or assessment responsibility for. If a user detects what he or she believes is a breach of security or confidentiality then it is their responsibility not to disseminate the information obtained and to report the event immediately to email@example.com.
Users will be logged out of the website after a period of inactivity. However, users should log off before leaving computers or mobile devices unattended.
The data and other contents of the Site ("Contents") were furnished by and entered into the ICM ePortfolio site by third parties with the permission of the FICM and are presented for informational purposes only.
The FICM does not make any representations, assurances, or any express or implied warranties, presentations, or endorsements whatsoever (including, but not limited to, warranties of title or non-infringement, or the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) with regard to the site, the content, any reports provided through the site, and the FICM shall not be liable for any cost or damage arising either directly or indirectly from any content or use of the site.
It is solely your responsibility to evaluate the reliability, accuracy, timeliness, completeness or usefulness of all services and content provided through the site. The FICM does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free or that defect in the site will be corrected. The site and the content made available on the site are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis.
All activity from a device logged onto the platform using the username assigned to a particular person is considered to be the responsibility of that person.
The FICM reserve the right to revoke access to the ePortfolio system where it considers the facility is being put to inappropriate use, or used in a way that compromises its security.
