What is your differential diagnosis?

  • Severe gastroenteritis causing severe dehydration with subsequent renal failure, raised lactate, and acidosis. 
  • CNS Infection: given the severe neurological symptoms and reduced level of consciousness.  
  • Euglycaemic Ketoacidosis: significant weight loss with reduced appetite in a known diabetic. 
  • Intracranial haemorrhage
