We welcome healthcare professionals from across the UK working in Intensive Care, Cardiology, Resuscitation and Pre-Hospital Medicine to discuss the role of Extracorporeal Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (ECPR) in the UK. This summit provides a unique opportunity to network with medical teams from across the country and learn about the latest updates and practices in cardiac arrest and extracorporeal support.

This gathering provides an exclusive opportunity to delve into the latest evidence and practices in cardiac arrest and Extracorporeal Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (ECPR), curated by a panel of international experts. Our aim is to offer a comprehensive perspective on interventions employed in refractory cardiac arrests, while also providing practical insights into implementing these strategies within the UK healthcare landscape.

Attendees will have the chance to interact with passionate teams committed to advancing the management of cardiac arrest and ECPR, fostering invaluable networking opportunities with like-minded professionals from across the UK.

Organised by the Critical Care Section of the Royal Society of Medicine, this event receives support from seven national and international societies, including the Resuscitation Council, Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, British Cardiovascular Society, Intensive Care Society, British Association of Critical Care Nurses, Air Ambulances UK, Euro ELSO, and Mechanical Life Support.

National Abstract Competition for the UK ECPR Summit 2024
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our national abstract competition, inviting submissions from all the multi-disciplinary team across the UK. Selected abstracts will have the opportunity for physical poster display at the summit. To enter, please submit your abstracts to mls@rbht.nhs.uk no later than July 31, 2024. UK ECPR Cannulation Cup 2024

Join us for the inaugural UK Cannulation Cup, where four teams will showcase their expertise in ECPR cannulation during designated break sessions throughout the day. Teams will be rigorously evaluated on their cannulation skills, timing, consideration of human factors, and seamless teamwork. The victorious team will earn the prestigious opportunity to represent the UK at the esteemed 2025 EUROELSO Cannulation Cup.
